Sir Wolf:
the ash shaft i bought from a friend. he gave me a shorter one that the unmounted pole ax head is going to go on too. i wanted one of both sizes like you see in a lot of period paintings, but most reenactors don't have the shorter version.

Sir Brian:
Wow they look great!  :)

*Now I have poleaxe envy!*   ;)

Sir Edward:

Nice! Yeah I still need to mount a pair of heads I have as well. I just need to decide what to use for the poles.

Sir James A:
Nicely done! I see a tiny "Sir Wolf Jr" in the background as well. ;)

Sir Rodney:
Nice work Sir Wolf!

I may be in the minority here, but poleaxes hold my attention and fascination more so than other medieval weapon types.  *ducks*

A replacement wheelbarrow handle from your local big-box hardware store works great.  They are 5' long and give you a finished product between 5'6" and 6' in length which is historically correct for some poleaxes.  I made a little tutorial a while back on myArmoury:
